Sony planning big upgrade for PlayStation consoles, just don't expect it anytime soon

With the PS6 unlikely to release anytime soon, Sony will instead continue to work on improving existing PlayStation models. Having recently upgraded PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) for the PS5 Pro and visual fidelity for the PlayStation Portal, PS5 lead system architect Mark Cerny has discussed Sony's upcoming plans for PlayStation consoles. This includes the release of frame-generation technology that would further improve frame-rates on PlayStation devices.
