This season, Izingane ZeS’thembu has been transformed into a reality telenovela. The show will also expand its focus to include more of the Mseleku children, giving viewers a closer look into their lives as they continue to grow and face new challenges.
Season 4 will premiere on 20 August 2026 on Mzansi Magic. The show will now air twice a week, every Wednesday and Thursday at 8pm. Viewers can expect to see familiar faces including Mpumelelo, Sne, Lwandle, Abongwe, Mnini, Owami, Mawande, Thando and Mpiloenhle “Mpilo” Mseleku.
Izingane ZeS’thembu is a popular South African reality television series that follows the older children of the well-known polygamous Mseleku family as they navigate adulthood, relationships, family life and personal growth.
According to Sowetan, Mpilo opened up about what viewers can expect from her this new season. She said, “Viewers can expect honesty. They’ll see me navigating difficult emotions, learning more about myself, leaning on the people I love, and finding strength through it all.”
She also shared why she decided to return for Season 4.
“I felt I still had a story to tell. Every season reflects a different chapter of my life and this one captures a version of me that viewers haven’t seen before. I wanted to be honest about where I am emotionally and let people see my growth beyond what they may have assumed about me.”
Mpilo believes this season will show a different side of the family and their lives. She encouraged fans to continue watching because the new season offers much more than just dramatic moments.
“People should watch because this season is the ‘realest’. It’s not just about the drama; it’s about growth, family, friendships, resilience and seeing different sides of the people you’ve come to know over the years. I think viewers will laugh with us, cry with us and hopefully take something meaningful from the journey.”
With a new format, more family members joining the cast and emotional personal stories, Season 4 is expected to give viewers an even deeper look into the lives of the Mseleku children. As they continue to grow, face life’s challenges and celebrate their victories, fans can expect another entertaining and heartfelt season when Izingane ZeS’thembu returns to screens this August.
