Grace Mondlana Opens Up About Her Sudden Hospitalisation

Award-winning content creator Grace Mondlana has opened up about a frightening health scare after revealing that she was recently hospitalised following a sudden collapse.
The content creator took to social media to share a video documenting her time in hospital, as well as moments from her journey in an ambulance. The emotional video gave her followers a glimpse into what happened and showed the support she received from her loved ones during a difficult time.
According to Grace, the incident happened on Monday, 27 July 2026, when she suddenly started feeling unwell while walking down the stairs.
“Monday, 27 July 2026 I suddenly felt noxious while walking down the stairs that morning and before I could react, I collapsed. I tried to stand up, but I couldn’t move my left leg. Fortunately, dogs started barking and I regained my consciousness, my helper then called for an ambulance,” she wrote in the video.
Grace initially believed that she was simply experiencing fatigue. However, as the situation developed, she realised that her injury could be more serious than she first thought.
“At first, I assumed that it is just fatigued and that had resulted to a featured ankle. The swelling on my ankle indicated that it could be more then just a fracture. My Neurologist symptoms were more more than just fatigue. X-rays revealed a torn and sprained ligament which required surgery to align. It was successful.”
Fortunately, Grace’s surgery was successful, but her recovery journey is far from over. During her hospital stay, she was surrounded by family and friends who visited her, bringing food and flowers while offering comfort and support.
Her followers also rallied around her with messages of love and encouragement. Mihlali Ndamase commented, “This happened to me once, such horrible experience. Get well soon Grace. ❤️”
Pearl Modiadie also sent her well wishes, writing, “Get well soon Grace. Praying for an abundance of healing energy.”
Grace later returned to social media to thank everyone for their kindness and support. She explained that she was still recovering and taking medication while also clarifying some of the errors in her original captions.
“Thank you so much everyone for your kind words.
I am very much still under meds with a long way to go mates, just figured the many errors I made in the captions & timelines. The incident happened on the Monday of the 27th after the fur babies party.”
As Grace continues on her road to recovery, the outpouring of support from her loved ones, friends and followers has offered her encouragement during what has clearly been a challenging period.
