Orlando Pirates have confirmed a total of 10 new signings this season as the Buccaneers look to compete for every available trophy.

The Buccaneers enjoyed a historic campaign last season, winning a treble and cementing their status as one of South Africa’s top clubs.

However, with several key players, including Relebohile Mofokeng, leaving the club, new head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou was tasked with rebuilding the squad during pre-season.

So far, Pirates have made an impressive start to the campaign, winning six of their eight matches across all competitions.

Several of the new arrivals have already made an impact. Gamphani Lungu, Thapelo Mokobodi and Mthetheleli Mthiyane have become regulars and impressed with their performances.

The CAF Champions League remains the trophy Pirates are desperate to win, having last lifted the continental crown in 1995. With the club targeting a second star, the new signings will be expected to play a crucial role in their continental campaign.

Orlando Pirates’ 10 New Signings:

Sebastian Pedersen – 27-year-old striker, signed from Sundal.
Gamphani Lungu – 27-year-old winger, signed from Siwelele FC.
Thapelo Mokobodi – 23-year-old midfielder, signed from Stellenbosch FC.
Mthetheleli Mthiyane – 25-year-old midfielder, signed from Stellenbosch FC.
Sbangani Zulu – 24-year-old defender, signed from Richards Bay FC.
Bohlale Ngwato – 20-year-old winger, signed from Siwelele FC.
Neo Rapoo – 20-year-old left-back, signed from Siwelele FC.
Matome Mmolai – 23-year-old midfielder, signed from Leicesterford FC.
Aphiwe Baliti – 24-year-old left-back, who has remained at Siwelele FC on loan.
Mohau Nkota – 21-year-old left-back, on loan from Ettifaq.

With Pirates competing on multiple fronts, their new additions will face the challenge of maintaining the club’s high standards while helping the Buccaneers push for domestic and continental glory.

With the trasnsfer window closing in a few weeks, Orlando Pirates can still make a few more signings.
