Just now

Quite literally, I was in a foul mood.

I was getting screamed at by an unhappy client. It happens. But today is Friday, and I have one more appointment to run. I was trying to stay composed.

It’s not always easy. Like you, I am a human too.

There is a ceiling to my composure, FFS.

Fortunately for me, the cabbie who fetched me made my day. He asked me how I would like to get to my destination, how I was, and whether I needed mineral water.

My psychological tension dropped by 70%.

It feels nice.

The start of a conversation

This is one happy cabbie.

I prefer to keep to myself when I am in a cab. I am usually commuting from one client office to another, so I either take the time to decompress [when things go bad] or prepare for a deal pitch [so I can quickly absorb all the key information].

Today, I had no mental capacity for either.

I’ve [just] got hollowed by a long-time client.
