Where Do Americans Fall on the Renee Good Tragedy? Follow the Money.

Americans put their money where their beliefs are, where their passions are, where their hearts are.
Many put cash in the church collection plate. Others, like me, have their monthly contributions to public radio deducted from their bank accounts.
Save the Children, ASPCA, the American Civil Liberties Union, Planned Parenthood, and numerous other NGOs are constantly soliciting public support for their noble work.
Americans also use their money to express their anger and spite. Sometimes a contribution is no more than a “Take that, bitches!” Or, in this instance, “Take that, you lesbian bitches!”
What (if anything) inspires a person to voluntarily part with a few hard-earned dollars says a lot about that person.
A snapshot of public sentiment
And then, there are GoFundMe campaigns that not only reveal the character of each individual donor, but can even shed light on the general mood of a nation.
