Arsenal strengthened their grip on the Premier League title with a 2-1 win over 10-man Chelsea, while Manchester United moved up to third with a 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace.

William Saliba and Jurrien Timber scored Arsenal’s goals, with the Gunners’ set-piece skill proving too much for the Blues.

Pedro Neto’s red card with 20 minutes to play hampered Chelsea’s chances as they slipped out of the Champions League places.

Liverpool’s 5-2 thumping over West Ham at Anfield on Saturday means the Reds are now three points clear of Chelsea in their pursuit of a top five finish.

Benjamin Sesko’s seventh goal in eight games helped Manchester United edge closer to a return to the Champions League.

Bruno Fernandes scored from the penalty spot, and Sesko netted the winner after Palace’s Maxence Lacroix was sent off ten minutes into the second period.

The Red Devils now find themselves in third place, ahead of Aston Villa on goal difference after Unai Emery’s side slipped to a 2-0 defeat at Wolves on Friday.

Tottenham’s woes continued with a 2-1 loss at Fulham, leaving them just four points above the relegation zone.

Nottingham Forest dropped further into trouble with a 2-1 defeat at Brighton, setting up a daunting trip to Manchester City after Pep Guardiola’s side beat Leeds 1-0.

The Premier League action continues with gameweek 29 taking place on Tuesday and Wednesday. All the action will be broadcast live on SuperSport.
