Mature Women Matter — More Than Ever

First, they denied us rights over our own bodies. Now, they are going after our right to vote. Not on my watch.

We thought our society had progressed too far to see Roe v. Wade overturned. Many of us fought for that right. I did — back in my college days.

I thought the issue had been resolved.

Once and for all.

The overturning of Roe v. Wade in 2022 was a shocking blow to women. Would men ever interfere in one another’s right to their reproductive health?

Certainly our right to vote can not be disputed.

WRONG.

Why Mature Women?

At this stage of life, we are often not restrained by caring for children, and our parents may be out of the picture. This stage of life frees us in ways we did not expect, but is so necessary to move society forward in a way that is equitable to all — especially women.

Reproductive issues are gone for many of us.

I see this as the opportunity it is to move our country forward, not backwards. We can do this; we have before.
