Kaizer Chiefs have not had the busiest transfer window, with Amakhosi making just four signings since the window officially opened on 1 July.

The Soweto giants began by signing defender Thabo Moloisane as a free agent following the expiry of his contract with Stellenbosch FC. The experienced centre-back is expected to bring leadership, composure and defensive solidity to the backline.

Chiefs also added goalkeeper Renaldo Leaner to their squad. The experienced shot-stopper is set to provide competition and cover for Brandon Petersen after Fiacre Ntwari departed the club on loan, opening up a place in the goalkeeping department.

Another notable arrival is Tanzanian international Adolf Mtasingwa Bitegeko.

The defensive midfielder joins from the Tanzanian Premier League and has already received glowing endorsements from former players and coaches, who believe he has the qualities to make an immediate impact at Naturena.

The club’s fourth addition is striker Khanyisa Mayo, whose move has now been made permanent. Mayo initially joined Chiefs on loan from CR Belouizdad, with Amakhosi deciding to trigger the option to complete the transfer ahead of the new campaign.

With their transfer business largely concluded, Kaizer Chiefs will now turn their full attention to the start of the 2026/27 Betway Premiership season.

Fernando Da Cruz’s side begin their league campaign next weekend with an away fixture against newly promoted Kruger United, where they will be hoping to start the season with all three points.
