Gauteng’s agricultural sector is gaining renewed momentum as government, community organisations and emerging entrepreneurs work together to create sustainable opportunities across the province. Gauteng MEC for Agriculture and Rural Development Vuyiswa Ramokgopa, together with The Rural Box Foundation, recently hosted the Tarlton Agripark SMME Incubation Programme Launch at Tarlton Agripark in Mogale City. The programme highlights the importance of supporting small, medium and micro enterprises while creating practical pathways for people to participate meaningfully in agriculture. The launch also formed part of a Women’s Month celebration that recognised women who are building businesses, supporting their communities and contributing to the future of Gauteng’s agricultural economy. By bringing stakeholders together, the initiative demonstrates how partnerships can strengthen local enterprises and promote inclusive agricultural development.
