As part of this objective, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development continued its Massive Community Outreach Programme today, focusing on Bothaville, Ventersburg, and Thaba Phatswa in the Lejweleputswa District. The programme distributed garden tools and seeds to local households and institutions, aiming to empower communities to grow their own food and improve nutrition. These initiatives address both immediate and long-term food security challenges while promoting sustainable farming practices. By equipping households and public institutions with the necessary inputs, the outreach programme strengthens local agricultural productivity and supports economic resilience in vulnerable communities.
