Over the past few weeks, viewers have been getting an intimate look into the life of singer, businesswoman and mother Londie London through her new reality show, Life with Londie. The Mzansi Magic series premiered on Thursday, 21 May 2026, and has since been giving fans a closer look at the woman behind the public image.

The reality show unpacks Londie’s world as a mother, daughter, singer and businesswoman. It also shines a light on the people who have remained by her side through life’s highs and lows, offering her the support she needs to navigate the pressures that come with her busy life.

One of the people who has been along for the journey is her mother, Dudu Zulu. As Londie continues to share different parts of her life with viewers, her mother has also become part of the reality television experience.

Speaking to Mzansi Magic in a short Q&A, Dudu opened up about what it has been like filming alongside her daughter and being introduced to viewers in a completely different way.

Dudu revealed that her decision to join the reality show was largely motivated by her desire to support Londie. She also believes that the reality television space is a natural fit for her daughter.

“I said yes to joining the reality show because I wanted to support my daughter. Reality television is truly who she is. It suits her personality and feels more like a calling than just a career,” she said.

For Dudu, appearing on television herself has been an unexpected experience. Despite being part of her daughter’s journey, she admitted that seeing herself on screen is still difficult to process.

“Watching myself on television is overwhelming because I never imagined I would be on TV. It still feels so unbelievable,” she shared.

When speaking about Londie as a daughter, Dudu had nothing but praise for the reality star. She described her daughter as a blessing and expressed gratitude for being her mother.

“She is such a blessing. She is an amazing person, and I feel incredibly blessed to have been chosen to be her mother. All I can say is, ‘Glory to God in the highest’ (Luke 2:14).”

Dudu also revealed that she always knew there was something unique about Londie from the moment she was born. According to her, Londie’s energy and passion stood out from a young age.

“I always knew there was something special about her. From the day she was born, she had so much energy and a passion for things I had never been involved in myself. She constantly surprised me. To be honest, I knew she was special, but I never imagined it would become this big.”

While Londie has built a name for herself in the entertainment industry, Dudu continues to play an important role in keeping her daughter grounded. She credits her strong principles and honest guidance for helping her navigate the different decisions she makes.

“Because I am a woman of strong principles, it has always been easy for me to keep her grounded. She knows that when it comes to me, she must always have a good reason for everything she does or wants to do. She also knows that I will always give her honest guidance, which is why she comes to me whenever there is something new she wants to pursue.”

Their relationship is clearly built on more than just being mother and daughter. Dudu described herself as Londie’s biggest support system, highlighting the trust, love and respect that have strengthened their bond over the years.

“I am her biggest support system. We communicate openly, and the respect she has for me is rooted in the trust we have built over the years. I am her prayer warrior. She can call me even at midnight, and I will always be there for her. Our relationship is built on love, trust, respect and unwavering support.”
