THE FUSE

The Capricorn District Stakeholder Engagement took place at the Jack Botes Hall in Polokwane, bringing together government leaders, traditional authorities, industry partners and farmers from across the district. The session created a platform to discuss agricultural development, service delivery challenges and practical solutions that can improve farming operations on the ground. Farmers raised concerns about access to markets, irrigation support, and timely delivery of government services, emphasizing the need for programmes that respond to local realities. The engagement also focused on sustainable farming practices and ways to increase productivity while protecting the land. By linking farmers directly with decision makers, the department aimed to improve coordination and ensure policies reflect real conditions on the farm.
