Gagasi FM presenter Minenhle “Minnie” Ntuli has entered a beautiful new chapter in her life. The 30-year-old radio star secretly tied the knot with her businessman partner of four years — and at the end of October, the couple welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Liyema.

The media personality, who recently appeared on Season 5 of The Real Housewives of Durban, shared that she was actually pregnant and planning her wedding while filming the show. Minnie made headlines for her heated confrontation with fellow cast member Londie London, where she labelled Londie a “gold digger” who works “lying on her back.” The altercation quickly turned physical and drew major backlash online, with fans urging Londie to open a defamation case.

Following the controversy, Minnie has since apologised, saying she wasn’t in the right frame of mind during the shoot. She revealed to Sunday World that she had a lot going on behind the scenes — including pregnancy and wedding plans — which she chose to keep private at the time. “I was not ready to share all of that information on screen,” she explained.

Minnie and her husband, whose name she chose not to reveal, tied the knot on June 21 this year, right in the middle of filming The Real Housewives of Durban. Their romance began years ago when they met at a camp while Minnie was working at East Coast Radio, before she moved to 5FM. The pair eventually hosted a traditional ceremony in KwaZulu-Natal attended by close friends and family after successful lobola negotiations.

“People didn’t know that while they were swearing at me on the internet, I was pregnant. I was basking in love and getting my lobola finalised,” Minnie told the publication. “In the midst of all the commotion, I was blessed to have a family to go to that supported me. I decided to stay off social media because I was carrying a life. I didn’t want to put my baby’s life in danger.”

Reflecting on the difficult period, she added, “There’s also so much they didn’t know and didn’t see. I’ve never been pregnant before, so I didn’t understand the emotions. The crew knew about my pregnancy. I informed them.”

Minnie made it clear that she didn’t want to use her pregnancy as an excuse for her actions, saying, “I did not want to use my pregnancy and hormones as an excuse to not own up to my bad behaviour. I held myself accountable for it all, and I know I was wrong. Even today I am still a story and I have learned from my mistakes.”

Now, two weeks after giving birth, Minnie is back at work and feeling more grounded than ever. She credited her husband, colleagues, and family for helping her through the storm. “They held me down when I was at my lowest. I am so blessed. My partner has been so supportive through it all — including the people at work and family,” she said.

After months of drama, Minnie Ntuli is finally embracing peace, motherhood, and married life — and she couldn’t be happier.
