I was playing Codenames — a word association game — the other day. My girlfriend and I were the Spymasters, and I had just gotten my team to guess four in a row. That was a huge move, and my girlfriend knew it.
She was clearly under pressure.
Two of her last three cards were genius and wedding. That’s what she had to link in one word.
Her clue? Glasses.
Along with the most famous equation ever written: e=mc2, Albert Einstein is synonymous with the word genius. And geniuses wear glasses. Or, at least, Einstein did.
Her team didn’t think long. They picked both cards correctly and eventually went on to win the game.
When it came to understanding the universe, Albert Einstein knew more than most.
However, there was one question that eluded him because it remained, and will always remain, unanswerable.
That didn’t stop him from asking it, though. If anything, he asked it more because it continued to pique his curiosity.
“Is the universe a friendly place?”
