The South African Police Service (SAPS) held a multidisciplinary law enforcement state of readiness parade at FNB Stadium in Johannesburg The parade is part of the SAPS' nationwide state-of-readiness and operational mobilisation, and to demonstrate total operational preparedness ahead of nationwide anti-illegal immigration protests scheduled for Tuesday, 30 June 2026. It follows recent briefings by police management, and assurances that the constitutional right to peaceful protest will be protected, while acts of violence, intimidation and criminality will not be tolerated.
