After a 12-hour journey to an unfamiliar time zone, what is it that you would be most looking forward to? For me, travelling west, it was a warm, comfy, welcoming hotel with a bedroom to match. In an ideal world, it would be something like my grandparents’ house. I experienced such a rarity when I travelled to Jackson, Mississippi, when I stayed at the cosy boutique Fairview Inn.
