Imagination is a rehearsal of possibilities

I ask — do perceptions shape reality?
‘Cause I’m watching the world cascade
into made uncertainty.

Then I say — nothing can divide
mass and energy,
even time at its fastest velocity.

I keep riding my jetpack into infinity,
scribing rapid, rustling sheets,
bouncing off topics with momentum
carried from eternity within.
I aim for serenity without.

Now I’m cautiously, curiously
questioning my reason and logic —
‘cause the cat in the box
may really possess nine lives.

Reaching for a paradigm shift
not born of psychedelic trips,
but from the thought that maybe truth,
like light, splits into rainbow rings.

So I search for collectible wins,
for the gold at the end
of the rainbow cloud.

Permit me —
as I fluently speak in my tongue,
languages that originate
from translating my unique views,
that I may uplift
with the strength of wind,
that there be no sinking ships.

Through the ocean of time I swim —
like the orbiting crew around the sun.
My planet revolves from chromosomes
into birth, and I sing my cry
as I see the shade of light
that welcomes me to life.

So I expand my leaves,
know the foundation of my roots.
Hold steady the rudder and paddles —
with force that crushes any Titanics in view.

Build megatronics that defy scientific facts.
Magnify simple techniques.
Master of my ship.

“Hold sacred your capacity for understanding,
For in it is all — that our ruling principle
won’t allow anything to enter that is inconsistent
with nature or with the constitution
of a logical creature.
It’s what demands due diligence,
care for others,
and obedience to God.”

— Marcus Aurelius, Meditations, 3.9
