Ben Shapiro has been a right-wing darling for some time now. I remember when I first started to become really aware of politics during the mid to late 2010s, Ben was a figure to whom the right would always point as being their Godsend. They viewed him as a great intellectual, someone who was able to articulate right-wing ideas in a brilliant way and own those pesky lefties.

This popularity has followed him to this day. Ben still remains arguably the most popular voice on the modern right in the US. He has millions of followers who tune in to what he has to say.

As with all figures on the right, he is basically a paper tiger. Once you strip back the fancy language and extremely fast speaking, he doesn’t really say much of value. One recent example was when he made the bizarre point of saying, if somewhere is expensive to live, then people should simply move, as they don’t have the right to live there.

He extended this position to include people who are born in an area which becomes expensive, which was very odd.
