Berita Opens Up About Balancing Music and MBA Studies

South African singer Berita is proving that success is not limited to one path. While continuing to build her music career, the award-winning artist has also been working hard in the classroom and is now approaching another significant milestone in her academic journey.
The singer recently gave fans a glimpse into a side of her life that many may not know much about. Taking to social media, Berita reflected on her experience studying for a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at GIBS Business School.
As she nears the completion of her studies, she shared some of the challenges and rewards that have come with balancing multiple responsibilities at the same time.
“An artist at business school. I’m in my final stretch of my MBA at @gibsbusinessschool and I don’t think I share this side of my life nearly enough. This season of building has felt fragmented at times like I’m managing different worlds all at once. There have been moments when I’m submitting an assignment, pushing new music and producing live events at the same time. It’s felt challenging, exhausting and fulfilling at the same time.
My vision is clear I want to build a sustainable artist business and I want to see many other especially female artists do it too.
For now I live and breathe the dream one day at a time. Happy Monday!”

Her MBA journey comes after another major academic achievement. In May 2025, Berita celebrated graduating from University of Pretoria with an Advanced Diploma in Business Administration.
At the time, she proudly reflected on the accomplishment, writing: “The best decision I ever made was to look ahead. Celebrating this milestone with gratitude.”
From recording music and producing live events to completing assignments and earning qualifications, Berita continues to show that growth can happen in more than one space at a time. As she enters the final stretch of her MBA, the singer is not only building her career as an artist but also laying the foundation for a sustainable future in business.
