Kaizer Chiefs winger Glody Lilepo has hinted at a possible exit after just one full season at the club.

The 28-year-old Congolese international sparked speculation on social media after posting the words “bye-bye” on Instagram.

Lilepo enjoyed a productive campaign for Amakhosi, registering 13 goal contributions in 37 appearances across all competitions.

Since joining Chiefs, the winger has featured in 56 matches, scoring 15 goals and providing five assists for the Soweto giants.

The club has not yet released an official statement regarding the player’s potential departure.

Following Kaizer Chiefs’ final match of the season which ended in a 1-0 defeat to Chippa United, the club’s sporting director Kaizer Motaung Jr. praised the progress made by the team.

Amakhosi ended the season third on the Betway Premiership table, their highest finish since 2020.

“Well, I think now everyone can see the strong defensive structure we’ve built and how we’ve achieved one of our best goal differences in many years,” Motaung Jr. told SuperSport.

“Everyone behind the scenes has worked very hard and the co-coaches deserve a lot of credit.

“The players deserve credit as well, and our recruitment department also deserves recognition because everything has been a culmination of planning and hard work,” the former Amakhosi striker added.

With more players expected to leave Kaizer Chiefs in the coming weeks, it remains to be seen whether Lilepo will be among those heading for the exit door.
