SHE'S been in the industry for two years but has made a name for herself.
And with the challenges she has experienced, she wants to help aspiring actors go far in the industry.
Skeem Saam actress Lethabo Mekoa has started an acting workshop aimed at helping up-and-coming actors.
The 19-year-old from Tshwane told Daily Sun that the workshop aims to ignite passion for the craft and unlock full creative potential.
“This workshop is a journey of self-discovery and artistic exploration, where participants will learn essential acting techniques, delve into character development, and discover the transformative power of storytelling,” she said.
Lethabo said her deep love for the craft and desire to share her knowledge and experience with aspiring actors inspired her to host the workshop.
“I believe in the importance of nurturing talent and providing a supportive environment for individuals to grow and flourish as performers,” she said.

The actress said she wants people to emerge with improved acting skills and newfound confidence in themselves and their abilities.
“I hope participants will discover the joy of self-expression through acting and gain valuable insights that they can carry with them throughout their artistic journey,” she said.
Lethabo said that she has had a good journey.
“I've encountered various challenges, from facing rejection to navigating the competitive nature of the entertainment business. However, each challenge has only fueled my determination to succeed and has taught me valuable lessons about resilience, perseverance, and the importance of staying true to myself,” she said.
Lethabo said that she has learnt that authenticity is key.
“The ability to tap into one's emotions and experiences and convey them truthfully on stage or screen is what makes a performance truly compelling. I've also learnt the importance of continuous learning and growth, always seeking new opportunities to expand my skills and explore different aspects of the craft."
She said that being on Skeem Saam has changed her life.
“It has opened doors to new opportunities, allowed me to collaborate with incredibly talented individuals, and has helped me grow personally and professionally. Each role I take on leaves a lasting impression, shaping me as an artist and contributing to the journey that is my acting career," said Lethabo.
