You might be wondering why or how. Well, Equality is indeed within Justice but not necessarily equal to Justice.

Let me cook for you(Gen Z slang), so Equality is the state of fairness, especially in status, rights, and opportunities while Justice is the quality of being fair and reasonable. Reasonable meaning, you reason with the subjects given. For example, If you share a limited food source equally with everyone, children will be overfed while adults will starve, showing that equality is more fairness based and not reason but rather Justice comes with reasoning.

Equality can be social, political, economic, and also Gender. Speaking of which Gender Equality has been wrestled with over the years in all areas trying to make two different beings equal on the wrong reasoning unknowingly that, Individuals have equal rights but different needs.

Let’s say a man and a woman are employed for the same job but in different companies, the employer’s treatment towards the male and the female will most definitely not be the same and with that, there can be a difference in the salary and that is okay. Because a Female employee may have different health needs related to pregnancy, childbirth, and reproductive health. Employers may need to provide accommodations such as maternity leave, breastfeeding facilities, and flexible work schedules to support female employees during these periods.

To say this, it does not mean it applies in all circumstances. Both can do the job very well and get paid equally but on the obvious side, males and females are not really equal or the same because they have different needs.

So, Equality is not Justice due to reasoning and difference of needs.

That’s it y’all, Peace.
