FORMER KAIZER CHIEFS MIDFIELDER NJABULO BLOM PLAYS FOR ST LOUIS

The 24-year-old from Soweto delivered the storming start in the United States last season. Blom played 26 games as St Louis became champions of the Eastern Conference region. The former Chiefs star sadly suffered an injury during preseason before bouncing back on Sunday against DC.

The news was confirmed by his coach and former Chiefs defender Bradley Carnell.

“Good, he has a certain pre-orientation where the ball might pop out, and playing against [Christian] Benteke it pops up anywhere. We would have liked to get him more minutes tonight,” Carnell said, as quoted by iDiskiTimes.

“The rhythm and the progression of the game we just thought that was the right moment to bring him in. I thought he looked pretty good, we just have to push him, keep on demanding more in training, getting him to up to more speed,” the former Chiefs number three added.
